New Release Four Seasons of Blue by Stub Lee

I thought about how many times people are not happy, but they endure. They keep waiting for something (or someone) to change. This song, Four Seasons of Blue, takes that idea and takes us through the four seasons. I figured when you’re blue, you’re blue...not just for a day or two,  it could be weeks, months, seasons. That’s pretty much where the song started.

Each season has an affect on me and my own outlook on life. Really, my mental health. Each season has its good and bad points I guess, but they all steer me in my actions and thoughts. In the song, the relationship is hand in hand with the season. I tried to tie them together lyrically with what is typical of that season.

It seems that if we watch our environment, we can take clues on what’s happening in our lives and how it is affecting us and the people around us.

Or maybe that’s just what we think is happening because we allow it? Maybe that’s just too deep.

I wrote and recorded this song in two days. It came fast and it seemed so polished in my head. I knew exactly where I wanted it to go lyrically and musically.

When I get an idea like this, I feel like I have to get it out of my head and into reality. Maybe it’s how I prove I had a creative thought. For me, it’s about laying a track down then building the next layer to the song until It sounds right. It could be easy to overproduce anything and it’s tempting to keep tweaking, but I have to just finally say, it’s done, then move on because I have so many other ideas I want to explore.
